Adenium swazicum
Adenium obesum ssp. swazicum (Adenium swazicum), is a dwarf shrub reaching possible heights of 2 and a half feet tall. It has an enlarged, succulent stem with few branches. The Adenium swazicum's branches sometimes droop or spread towards the ground. This is especially true for plants that are too shaded.
Mature plants have massive roots and thick stems, but a caudex is evident only in younger specimens. Adenium swazicum flowers are showy, pink or mauve to deep reddish purple. Its flowers usually are darker in the throat.
The Adenium swazicum will rot in a heavy soil. It thrives in a well-drained, 50/50 mix of perlite and sand/mulch. During the colder months/cold snaps, make sure to keep the succulent as dry as possible before temperatures drop. You can propagate by making cuttings as they easily root. Additionally, you can cross pollinate to make seed.

The Cactus King's cacti and succulents have gone international! If you ever find yourself in China with a little spare time, head to the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom. It is the largest Aquarium in the world (no big deal, pun definitely intended).
