Euphorbia resinifera

Description:

The Euphorbia resinifera is indigenous to Morocco (fancy). Typically, it grows on the slopes of the Atlas Mountains in the surroundings of Marrakesh. It is one of the simplest and care-free Euphorbia species to grow!

The Euphorbia resinifera thrives in both pots and in the ground (milder climates). Additionally, indoor cultivation is a definite possibility. It requires a very well draining mineral potting substrate. Happily, they are not picky about soil. During summer months, this succulent requires average feeding and watering. This species, during growing season, rapidly mounds, branches and spreads. Flowers are bright yellow.

Caution:

Please be aware that all Euphorbia species, when their skin is damaged, exude a milky white, latex sap. This sap is caustic to skin and any mucous membrane. Temporary blindness, excessive salivation and rashes are all possible. There have been documented cases of death when Euphorbia sap has been consumed.

This being said, if you respect your plant, it will respect you. Handle this and all Euphorbias carefully. If trimming the plant, wear protective clothing, gloves and glasses.
