Agave bracteosa var. Mateo

Description:

The Agave bracteosa var. Mateo is an upright growing succulent indigenous to Mexico. Rosettes are typically solitary. Leaves take on a beautiful light green to green color. Unlike the vast majority of other species in the Agave genus, this plant sports spineless leaves. Each leaf has a pale band going down the center. Leaves initially grow vertically in the center of the plant, eventually arching back towards the outside.

The Agave bracteosa var. Mateo is drought tolerant (especially in coastal gardens). Good candidate for cactus and succulent gardens. Low water needs. Thrives in full sun to light shade. Requires a well-draining soil.
