Nolina guatemalensis

The Nolina guatemalensis is a xerophytic branching tree/succulent with a swollen base (caudex). A xerophyte (from Greek ξηρός xeros dry, φυτόν phuton plant), is a species of plant that has adaptations to survive in an environment with little liquid water.
Each apex has a rosette of green leaves. At full maturity, this specie can reach heights of approximately 10' - 15' with an approximate width of 4' - 6'. The Nolina guatemalensis requires well drained, gritty soil. Keep dry when plant is dormant.
