Aloe Melanacantha
Aloe Melanacantha grows in rocky or sandy soils, mostly granite-derived, and prefers the arid conditions of Namaqualand and the Richtersveld. It's a slow growing nearly stemless rosette-forming succulent that is usually solitary or with only a few clustered ball-shaped rosettes. Aloe Melanacantha (Black-spined Aloe) is about a foot tall and wide, it narrow 6 to 8 inch long with a triangular rough-textured. Aloe Melanacantha has brownish-green colored leaves that blush red with drought stress and curve upwards and inwards towards the middle of the plant.
